leadership and democracy

Just another Edublogs.org weblog

Survey time

Thanks for working so well on Thursday with your surveys, questions and  thankyou speeches.  Please everyone get busy with your surveys.  Each one of you needs to have surveyed at least two different people.  We will collate the surveys on Thursday and hopefully draw some conclusions from the results, ready for Friday’s excursion

Websites that may help you

I am adding some websites that may help you as you search for information

This site contains an introduction to the House of Representatives, Fact sheets about the Australian federal Government, members of the House contact details, sitting dates, business of the House including Bills and Hansard, Committees and links to other parliament sites.

Information about Federal Parliament and the structure of government in Australia is found at this site.

Parliament@Work provides information about State, Territory and Commonwealth parliamentarians and electorates. Features of the site include census data, election results, political parties, politicians and a useful search facility.

Our government has some basic information about how and when our system of government was established.  While the information given is brief it has some excellent links to fact sheets that can help you.
